Sunday night

Dear Folks

Surely was glad to hear that you are coming Saturday night and that you will stop and see Gladys and Charlie on the way. I'm sure that you will enjoy the 3rd degree.

I will come into town just as fast as possible and should be able to make it by nine O'clock. I will call out to Daniels just as soon as I get there.

I can't think of any reason why they shouldn't let me off next Sunday. I'll get out some way.

The cake arrived Tuesday night at 5:55 and was gone at 5:57. These fifteen boys here in the hutment were all mighty pleased and happy. It was the best we had ever tasted so now they are all watching my mail with eagle eyes.

The Daniels have a married Negro couple with them and a nice big home. You will like them a lot. Both are fine conversationalists.

Today each man in his section rated the other 27 men as to character. It's just like judging 27 cows.

Will see you Saturday night.

Love Leonard

P.S. If you have an old alarm clock that doesn't work I would appreciate your bringing it down. We've got a man in the barracks that fixes clocks and we need an alarm clock.

Don't bring the hangers as I now have some.

Love

Len
