Dear Folks

I'll give this V-mail a whirl and see if you get any better service with it.

Your letter of July 30th reached me last week and I was very glad to hear that Uncle Louis had made the trip safely and so fast. I think it's better to have plenty of rain than not to have enough.

I'm glad to hear that Margaret did so well with her summer school and that she is going back to the same school to teach.

I've found out that I'll receive my training at Camp Roberts, Calif. Probably you all know where that is. I'm sorry that it's so far from home but perhaps I'll be able to get a furlough, at any rate it'll be much better then over here. Best regards to all -

With Love

Leonard
